Your Stay At Bewick's Lodge

Wake up to wildlife at WWT Slimbridge, explore the wetlands and stay in the birthplace of modern conservation, at Bewick's Lodge, the former home of WWT founder Sir Peter Scott, right where Royalty has purported to have stayed.

Bewick's Lodge sleeps six people and is self-catering. The master bedroom has a private viewing tower (Sir Peter Scott’s viewing tower) that overlooks the Rushy Lake, as well as the reserve all the way to the Severn Estuary, and the surrounding Gloucestershire countryside.

The Lodge is situated in a quiet location, a little way away from the main site but within a few minutes' walking distance. Not only will it be quiet in the Lodge during the busiest days, but beautifully quiet after the site has closed.

During your stay, you'll have free access to the Slimbridge site from 8.15am until closing time and you can buy lunch in the restaurant during the day, your nearest shop is about a 10-minute drive away, so come prepared. There is a good pub a short drive or 10 minute walk up the road.

Make unforgettable memories at WWT Slimbridge as with their huge variety of birds and wildlife you can reconnect with nature on many levels. If you're looking for that ideal tranquil location amongst wildlife where you can meet family and friends, WWT Slimbridge is the perfect place.
