This special screening at Ely Cathedral will be introduced in person by the concert’s director and Bernstein biographer Humphrey Burton, with broadcaster and film music concert producer Tommy Pearson. All in the place where it was originally filmed so beautifully!
A perfect way to commemorate the #BernsteinAt100 centenary celebrations: His greatest on-screen concert directed by Humphrey Burton in August of 1973.

This performance of Gustav Mahler's Resurrection Symphony also features mezzo-soprano Dame Janet Baker and soprano Sheila Armstrong, alongside the Edinburgh Festival Chorus. All accompanied by the magnificent London Symphony Orchestra. Spellbinding brilliance during their collective artistic peaks.
